Streamtime invites you for a meeting with Raed Jarrar, who keeps the well-read weblog "Read in the Middle", writing from Baghdad and Amman.
Raed Jarrar was leading Emaar, an NGO project to reconstruct villages in the south of Iraq. He worked on counting civilian casualties and did field research on the use of Depleted Uranium.
With his family he launched a private campaign to deliver aid to hospitals in Iraq. Meanwhile he also managed to finish his study of architecture in Amman.
Read Jarrar comes to The Netherlands to participate in an ICT symposium and a dicussion on "digital journalism" organized by HIVOS, OneWorld and IICD on Wednesday 18 November. On Tuesday 16th, Streamtime has organized a meeting with him at XminY, De Wittenstaart 43, Amsterdam, starting at 8 pm.
